This year we raised...
$17,000
For the Child Cancer Foundation & The Himalayan trust
Another great event
What
a day Monday 23 February turned out to be! More than 60 golfers pitted
their skills against the Hutt Golf Club's challenging layout, before heading
back to the clubhouse for a well-earned drink and a chance to peruse the
50-odd auction items up for grabs. Teams from local businesses such as
Weta, Colliers, SOLmedia, Peoples Coffee, Jones Law, National Bank, Provoke
and South Canterbury Finance lined up alongside host teams Francis Consulting
and Megabyte for an ambrose-format round.
Winners of the golf were:
1st - Colliers
2nd - Prestige Ceilings
3rd - South Canterbury Finance.
Kay Okeroa won the putt-off competition (being just one of 3 golfers who landed within 3m of the flag on 18) and Lance Dry had the longest drive. Team results.
The real winners of course were the two charities for whom all of this was undertaken - the Child Cancer Foundation and The Himalayan Trust. Funds raised for distribution total approximately $17,000 - a great result given the difficult times many are experiencing and only a wee bit shy of last year's $22,000.
We greatly appreciate the support and participation of those sponsors and benefactors who make this event possible - the generosity again of Wellington and Hutt businesses and individuals is quite humbling.
